Building Permits & Inspections

The City requires building permits for most things.  We approve the building permit.  We have a cooperative agreement with Scott County to issue the permit and follow up with all inspections and approvals.  The building permit document is here for you to use as a guide.  Please read it carefully to determine if you need a permit.  If you are unsure, please call City Hall.
